About us

At Cassie Delicacies, we believe that the future of food lies in the roots of our land — in the rich soils, resilient crops, and communities that nurture them. We are an innovative agri-enterprise driven by a passion to unlock the untapped potential of cassava, one of Africa’s most versatile and climate-resilient crops.

Founded with a vision to transform how people perceive and use cassava, Cassie Delicacies focuses on value addition, innovation, and sustainability to create nutritious, market-ready products that contribute to food security and rural prosperity.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower smallholder farmers and local communities by creating sustainable markets for cassava-based products, enhancing livelihoods, and promoting the consumption of healthy, locally sourced foods.

What We Do

Operating from our base at Egerton University, we partner closely with farmers, researchers, and industry experts to develop a variety of high-quality cassava products — from flour and snacks to processed food ingredients. Our work combines traditional knowledge with modern food innovation to ensure that every product we make supports both nutrition and economic growth.

Our Approach

We believe in an integrated approach that links every part of the value chain:

  • Farmer Empowerment: We train and support farmers on best practices for cassava production, processing, and quality management.

  • Value Addition: Through innovative processing techniques, we transform raw cassava into nutritious and shelf-stable products.

  • Sustainability: We champion eco-friendly production practices that reduce waste and promote circular economies.

  • Community Impact: By sourcing locally and creating employment opportunities, we contribute to the growth of rural economies.

Our Vision

To be a leading force in Africa’s cassava value chain — promoting regenerative, inclusive, and sustainable food systems that benefit both people and the planet.

At Cassie Delicacies, every product tells a story — of resilience, innovation, and the promise of a better, more sustainable food future.
